Image and Content Use

The yokai artwork, ema, cards, companion avatars, encyclopedia text, articles and designs on YOKAI.JP are original works created by Glory Lab, Inc. (“we”). All rights are reserved. As Section 13 of the Terms of Service states, they may not be copied, republished, redistributed, sold or modified without permission beyond what the law allows.

This page explains, within that principle, what you can do without asking and when you need permission. The structured data we provide to Google Images (ImageObject) points its license and acquireLicensePage fields to this page and to our contact form.

The following uses need no prior contact, as long as you credit YOKAI.JP and link to the page the image comes from.

• Sharing a page URL, or a share card the site generates, on social media, in messaging apps or on a blog
• Showing a few unmodified images for introduction or quotation in a personal blog, a social post, a school lesson or project, or non-commercial research and commentary
• Press and media using screenshots of the site in an article about YOKAI.JP itself

None of these covers products or services in which the image is the main attraction, or redistributing images as a set.

Always ask us before any of the following.

• Commercial use: merchandise, books, paid content, advertising, apps, games, product packaging and the like
• Redistributing several images together: image packs, wallpaper sets, stock or asset sites, datasets
• Modification and derivative works: any edit beyond cropping, tracing, reusing character designs, imitating the art style with AI
• Use as training data for machine learning or AI, or as reference images for generative AI
• Any use that suggests YOKAI.JP or Glory Lab endorses or is affiliated with you

If this happens without permission, we will ask you to stop and remove the material, and may take legal action where necessary.

When you show an image, put the credit next to it or at the end of the article, and link to the page where possible.

Do not remove watermarks or logos, and do not credit another site as the source.

For commercial use, derivative works or anything you are unsure about, write to us through the contact form. We can answer faster if you include:

• The page URL of each image you want to use
• The purpose and medium (for example a book, website, video or merchandise)
• Scope, print run, duration, and whether the use is commercial
• Your organisation and contact details

Depending on the request we may grant the licence free of charge or ask a fee. We usually reply within one to two weeks.
